Coronary Vascular Intervention
Coronary vascular intervention (CVI), also known as percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) encompasses a variety of different minimally invasive percutaneous procedures used to treat Coronary Artery Disease (CAD). CAD is a condition in which the arteries inside the heart become narrowed or blocked usually due to the buildup of plaque. CVI aims to restore blood flow in these coronary arteries, relieve symptoms, and prevent complications.
